Chinese Schools follow Students with Smart Uniforms

In China, schools use uniforms with chips in them, so that they can keep track of whether students are attending lessons.

The uniforms are meant to stimulate a better presence among students. In the uniforms are two chips in the shoulders.

This allows schools to follow when students enter the building and when they leave. The information is sent to parents and teachers. If students try to play truant without permission, an alarm goes off.

The schools also use facial recognition at the door, to check that students wear their jacket. The chips can also detect whether a student has fallen asleep during class. They could also make payments in the school cafeteria.

The uniforms are used at ten Chinese schools. According to the schools, pupils are not followed in their free time.
