Hacker Sets Private Data Hundreds of German Politicians Online
A hacker or multiple hackers have put the private data of hundreds of German politicians online. Between the data are home addresses, personal and business e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, chat details and credit card data.
In addition to personal data, the leak also includes internal party documents — for example, registration forms for party conferences, internal communication and member lists.
The information was shared on Twitter in the run-up to Christmas via a kind of Advent calendar but was only discovered on Thursday evening.
An account that currently has more than seventeen thousand followers shared links to the data, which are sometimes several years old. It is misty who is behind the record that the data was leaked and their motive is also a mystery.
