Infections in Italy Rise to Over 10,000 in A Day

For the first time since the start of the corona pandemic, Italy has registered more than 10,000 infections per day.

The Ministry of Health reported 10,010 new cases on Friday, well above Thursday’s previous record when 8,804 new infections were counted.

The number of deaths from the virus is much lower than the first two months of the crisis.

The department reported 55 victims as of 83 Thursday. March and April saw days of over 900 deaths at their peak.

Italy was the first country in Europe to be affected by corona. It has the most deaths after Great Britain.
