Joe Biden will choose runner-up next week

Does Kamala Harris get a chance to be the first Vice President of the United States – or Elizabeth Warren? The role is particularly important because Biden is already 77 years old.
The designated Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, plans to choose his deputy in the coming week if he wins the election. Biden announced this on Tuesday during a campaign appearance in his hometown Wilmington, Delaware. Biden already decided in March that his running mate would be a woman.

There are a number of candidates to choose from: From the view of the US media, US Senators Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren, among others, have particularly good chances, who like Biden applied for the Democratic presidential candidacy. Recent attention has also been paid to Tammy Duckworth, Senator and Iraqi veteran, and Barack Obama’s then-National Security Advisor, Susan Rice.
