Lionel Messi has reached an agreement on a 2-year contract with the top French club, the well-known sports newspaper L’Equipe reported earlier on Tuesday. The intention is that he will be presented on Wednesday.

The transfer-free Messi has been negotiating with PSG in recent days. He was looking for a new club because FC Barcelona can no longer afford him. PSG think it can finally win the Champions League with the 34-year-old Messi. Messi would earn more than 35 million euros annually.

The six-time world footballer of the year can form an attack with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum also signed with PSG this summer.
